The story behind Eliot Rose Wealth Management and its investment philosophy dates back to 1967 when its founder, Gary Siperstein, was just nine years old. It all started when Gary’s grandfather, Eli, bought him his first shares of stock in a small aerospace company.
Each day after school, Gary would visit Eli at his office excited to learn about stocks, business, and the economy. It didn’t take long for Gary to become hooked. He became a student of the stock market and specialized in investing in small companies – a segment of the market he later learned was overlooked and held tremendous potential to make money.
Gary’s son, Jason Siperstein, CFA, CFP, joined his father at Eliot Rose after working several years in the consulting and financial services industries. Jason saw an opportunity to hone our offering to answer the many questions facing pre-retirees and retirees.
Jason is passionate about helping clients navigate the changing face of retirement and its challenges and opportunities. Today, the father-son team continues its legacy of building wealth for clients and helping them achieve the retirement they imagine.
The firm’s name, Eliot Rose Wealth Management, was created using the middle names of Gary’s children, Jason Eliot and Carly Rose. Our name reminds us that preservation and growth of wealth has broad impact not only on our clients, but also upon their families and those closest to them.
